Malaria cases reported in Peru 2022, by department

In 2022, out of 27,025 cases of reported malaria infections in Peru, 22,692 came from Loreto, the northernmost department of the South American country. This region accounted for almost 84 percent of the malaria cases reported in the country during that year. Junín followed, with a total of 2,292 reported malaria cases.
