资源简介:
Some of the worst flooding, this century, occurred in portions of the south-central United States during the period beginning in late April and continuing beyond the middle of May 1990. The most significant flooding occurred in a wide area across north-central/ east Texas, southeast/east Oklahoma, a large portion of Arkansas, and northwestern/central Louisiana. Much of the flooding occurred along three major rivers and their tributaries: (1) the Arkansas River, (2) the Red River, and (3) the Trinity River. The flooding claimed at least 13 lives, forced thousands of people from their homes and businesses, and caused damages (much of it agricultural) now estimated at well over $1 billion.
