C57BL/6 mice were sourced from three different vendors and two production sites for each vendor. Mice were shipped to an academic research vivarium and stool samples were collected immediately from the shipping box, and again after two, six and twelve weeks in the new facility. Fresh fecal pellets were collected for 16S rRNA analysis.
