Method: RNA seq was performed using total RNA extracted from 14 day-old seedlings of WT (Col-0)- and 35S::BEH2:GFP Arabidopsis treated for 4 hr with or without 0.1 õM brassinolide (BL), one of natural bioactive brassinosteroids (BRs) in a half strength MS liquid medium. Abstract: Two key transcription factors (TFs) in BR signal transduction: BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1-EMS-SUPPRESSOR 1 (BES1) and BRASSINAZOLE RESISTANT 1 (BZR1) consist of a small family with four BES1/BZR1 homologs (BEHs). To date, little knowledge is available for BEHs compared with those of BES1 and BZR1 TFs. Therefore, we focused on and characterized BEH2 to further advance knowledge on BR-mediated gene regulation.
