16S rRNA gene profiling of microbial communities associated with low-pH concrete environments

This BioProject investigates microbial community composition associated with low-pH concrete environments exposed to groundwater under laboratory conditions. The study focuses on environmental microbiomes colonizing concrete surfaces, including indigenous microbial communities and experimentally introduced microorganisms. Microbial community structure was characterized using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to evaluate community dynamics under different incubation conditions.
