<p>We studied the effects of 30 t ha<sup>-1</sup> of added biochar on soil greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes and soybean (<em>Glycine max</em> (L.) Merr.) growth in the field under ambient and variable precipitation patterns (repeated one-month dry periods separated by heavy rain events), and also studied GHG emissions from wetted field soils in the laboratory. The experiment was conducted during the growing season of 2017 at Purdue University&#39;s Agronomy Center for Research and Education (ACRE; near West Lafayette, IN).</p>
