Minutes of Meeting: Management of Library Associations and Institutions Section, 23 April 2024

This is the 3rd MLAS Standing Committee Meeting for the year 2024. Sharon Memis, IFLA Secretary General was a guest at this meeting and gave an update on IFLA activities. Among the updates were fuller minutes from the IFLA GB; IFLA General Assembly 2024; IFLA Information Futures Summit; new IFLA Strategy; New Trend Report and Survey on the IFLA WLIC Review. There were also updates from MLAS which include MLAS Standing Committee Mid-Term Meeting 2024, 13th Eurasian Academic Libraries Conference (EALC), Astana, Kazakhstan; The Libraries and the Digital Preservation of Cultural Heritage 6th Conference of the Lebanese Library Association; Building Strong Library Associations Initiatives; Co-option of MLAS SC; Updates from NPSIG and WILSIG.
