This dataset contains the CO1, 16S, 18S, 28S, and H3 gene sequences of deep-sea sea stars belonging to the class Asteroidea. Specimens of deep-sea starfish were collected by the manned submersibles Shenhai Yongshi , Fendouzhe and Jiaolong during the period between 2018 and 2023. One specimen was collected using a benthic trawl by the R/V Jiageng in the South China Sea in 2023.
