The Roaring Fork Carbon Sequestration Initiative is a collaboration of local and regional leaders and institutions with the shared goal of understanding the terrestrial carbon resources in our watershed. The content of this document represents the first phase of research directed at understanding the "carbon stewardship landscape," or, in other words, the distribution of carbon stocks among land cover types, ownership and management status, and level of protection.
