This dataset contains 400 infrared (IR) images and 400 visible light (VL) images, all resized to a resolution of 512×512 pixels. The IR folder holds IR images paired with their corresponding power line annotations, ground truth maps, and overlay images that combine the original IR frames with the annotation layers. The VL folder contains VL images along with their matching power line annotations, ground truth maps, and overlay images integrating the original VL frames and annotations. Both the IR and VL datasets are intentionally constructed to encompass both standard scenes and particularly ambiguous, confusing scenarios. The label "TY" indicates that no power lines are present in the image, while "TV" denotes the existence of power lines within the image. These images were captured across 21 distinct regions in Turkey across different seasons. The compiled positive sample set features multiple challenging scenarios where power lines are nearly indistinguishable due to low contrast, arising from varied background conditions, differing temperatures, weather patterns, and lighting conditions. The original IR footage had a resolution of 576×325, while the original VL footage was in Full HD format. Nonetheless, the captured frames were downscaled to smaller dimensions, and the impact of resizing was evaluated across multiple image sizes. A 512×512 resolution is adequate to consistently achieve accurate power line detection.
