WAU008 - Wauyai Maˈya - Conversational Questionnaires (Dialogue C, 'Seeing the suester')

This dataset contains a dialogue elicited using the Conversational Questionnaire method (François 2019, 'A proposal for conversational questionnaires') from the Wauyai dialect of Maˈya with Daniel Gaman (born 1960), a native speaker of Wauyai Maˈya. The dialogue was Dialogue C ('Seeing the suster', pages 48-50 of the Fieldnotes). The session was recorded on 18 February 2023, in Waimalata hamlet (Waigeo island, Raja Ampat regency, Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian'.
