State Diminished Value and Auto Claim Rules Dataset (United States)
收藏资源简介:
For all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, this dataset records the rules that govern a vehicle owner's property damage claim after an accident, with a focus on diminished value (the loss in market value that remains after a vehicle is repaired). Fields cover whether diminished value is recoverable from the at-fault driver or their insurer, the property damage statute of limitations, insurer acknowledgment and decision deadlines, unfair claims settlement practices rules, fault system, direct action against insurers, the state insurance regulator and complaint page, small claims and civil court limits, filing fees and venue. Every value carries a legal citation, and most link to the primary source (statute, administrative code, court decision, court self-help page or regulator publication). The data is re-verified monthly and a new version is published after each review. General information, not legal advice. See README.md and data-dictionary.csv for methods, coverage and limitations.
