本数据是红木国标标准数据库。红木的种中文名、种拉丁名、商品名、主要产地。为规范市场和保证产品质量，特质定本标准。本标准中红木树种确定的依据：从木材解剖学的角度，研究明清家具残片的木材特征；研究目前红木家具用料；参考国内外正确定名的木材标本和资料。红木是当前国内家具用材约定俗成的名称。经研究确定33个树种，归为紫檀木、花梨木、香枝木、黑酸枝木、红酸枝木、乌木、条纹乌木和鸡翅木8类。

This dataset is the national standard database for Hongmu (Chinese precious hardwood). It contains the Chinese common names, Latin scientific names, commercial trade names and major production origins of each Hongmu species. This standard was developed to standardize the market and guarantee product quality. The criteria for confirming Hongmu tree species in this standard are as follows: analyzing wood characteristics of residual fragments of Ming and Qing Dynasty furniture from the perspective of wood anatomy; investigating raw materials currently used for Hongmu furniture; and referencing properly identified wood specimens and related materials from domestic and international sources. Hongmu is a commonly used conventional term for furniture-grade timber currently adopted in China. Through systematic research, 33 tree species have been identified, which are categorized into 8 groups: Red Sandalwood, Rosewood, Fragrant Rosewood, Black Dalbergia, Red Dalbergia, Ebony, Striped Ebony and Chicken Wing Wood.
