Number of hospitals with infectious disease medicine departments Japan 2014-2022

As of October 2022, close to 200 general hospitals in Japan provided departments handling infectious disease internal medicine. Around three percent of all the general hospitals in the country had departments of infectious diseases during the measured time period.
