Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is characterized by amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques and oxidative stress linked to Fe, Cu, and Zn accumulation. Using μ-XANES at ESRF ID21, we will map these metals’ oxidation states in APP23 mouse brain slices, correlating them with histological data. This will reveal metal-Aβ interactions, clarifying their role in plaque formation and neurotoxicity. By validating theoretical coordination models, our study will provide crucial insights into metal-driven oxidative stress in AD, bridging structural and pathological mechanisms. Findings will contribute to understanding neurodegeneration, aiding the development of targeted therapeutic strategies
