资源简介:
This is a prospective, observational, multicenter study involving 48 hospitals across Europe. The institutional review board at each participating center approved the study protocol. Patients with cirrhosis, diagnosed via previous liver biopsy or a combination of clinical signs and findings from laboratory tests, endoscopy, and ultrasonography, were included. The criteria for diagnosing acute decompensation upon hospitalisation included the development of ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, infection, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, or a combination of these conditions. Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) diagnosis during follow-up was conducted according to the study criteria from CANONIC (Moreau et al., 2013). The dysfunction and failure of organs were defined using the organ failure score (Jalan et al., 2014) from the CLIF consortium (CLIF-C). This study was conducted within the MICROB-PREDICT project.
