The layer represents a detailed listing of Sanitary Sewer Overflows reported to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection within Sarasota County. Reports include events reported from the City of Northport Utilities, City of Sarasota Utilities, City of Venice Utilities, Englewood Management District, Sarasota County Utilities, and private wastewater systems. Event data is collected by the staff of the responsible utility or party, and the data is reported withing 24 hrs. to FDEP and Sarasota County Air and Water Quality.
