Gene expression profiles of epicardial adipose tissue in patients with coronary artery disease

The study subjects were 5 patients with CAD who
underwent coronary artery bypass surgery and 5 patients without CAD who
underwent valve replacement in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of
Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. This study was approved by the ethics committee
of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. Total RNA was extracted from the samples using TRIzol. RNase H method was used to remove rRNA. After RNA fragmentation, cDNA synthesis, A-Tailing Mix and adapters were added to establish a library. An Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent DNA 1000 Reagents) was used to detect the inserted fragments of the library, and HiSeq4000 (BGI-Shenzhen, China) was used to sequence the library qualified for detection.
