This data contains Vegetation Photosynthesis and Respiration Model (VPRM) runs for a roughly 300 by 300 km2 domain centered around Indianapolis, IN. The model structure and parameters used were developed and described by Gourdji et al., 2022, and applied in Murphy et al., (in prep). The model was run at a roughly 1 km**2 spatial resolution and hourly temporal resolution from August 2012 through December 2021. Note that a select number of hours are missing from model output due to lack of access to required model inputs for those hours. The model outputs ecosystem CO2 fluxes (Net Ecosystem Exchange, NEE), which is the combination of Gross Ecosystem Exchange (GEE, the ecosystem’s carbon uptake from photosynthesis) and ecosystem respiration (R, the ecosystem’s carbon release from autotrophic and heterotrophic respiration). VPRM accounts for the mixture of Plant Functional Types (PFTs) within model grid cells. Model outputs also include NEE, GEE, and R estimates for each of the PFTs, separately. All CO2 flux estimates have units of μmol/m**2/s. A factor of 1000 needs to be divided out from the model outputs to obtain the correct units of μmol/m**2/s.
