资源简介:

This article explores the syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic roles of conjunctions in Modern Standard Chinese. As an analytical language, Chinese lacks inflectional morphology, making conjunctions essential for structuring relationships between words, phrases, and clauses. The study presents a comprehensive classification of Chinese conjunctions into coordinating and subordinating types, analyzing their forms, meanings, and functions. It also examines correlative conjunctions and compound patterns frequently used in formal and informal contexts. Special attention is given to the discourse functions of conjunctions, their role in maintaining textual cohesion, and their pedagogical implications for learners of Chinese as a second or foreign language. The article highlights common errors made by non-native speakers and offers strategies for effective instruction. Through comparative analysis with English, the study demonstrates the unique features of Chinese conjunctions and their contribution to syntactic organization and discourse coherence. The findings are relevant for linguists, educators, and learners seeking to deepen their understanding of Chinese grammar and communication.
