Arterial ischemic stroke in children with arteriopathies

The research hypothesis assumed that ischemic stroke in children with the previously described additional characteristics may be caused by monogenic diseases that lead to the development of arteriopathies and, consequently, the onset of acute brain ischemia. Therefore, the study aimed to search for mutations affecting the formation of vascular wall pathologies, which can subsequently lead to ischemic stroke, in a selected group of patients with a significantly increased risk of monogenic disease.
