This dataset and manuscript present results from a 2024 field experiment evaluating residue retention under minimum tillage in furrow-irrigated okra in semi-arid Punjab, Pakistan. Residue retention reduced irrigation demand and evapotranspiration while increasing yield and field water productivity. The study demonstrates that improved soil surface management can enhance irrigation efficiency and crop performance under water-limited conditions.
