Dataset for: Essential oil variation in wild Iranian tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus L.) populations is not closely aligned with their genetic relationships

Data supporting the manuscript "Essential oil variation in wild Iranian tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus L.) populations is not closely aligned with their genetic relationships" (Scientific Reports). Contents: (1) RAPD binary scoring matrix (1 = band present, 0 = absent) of 124 loci amplified with 15 RAPD primers in seven wild populations; (2) primer sequences and performance indices (TB, MSN, PB, PP, Rp, DI, MI); (3) population metadata (province, coordinates, altitude, sampling design); (4) Jaccard similarity matrix among populations (Supplementary Table S1); (5) GC-MS relative composition of the essential oils (Table 3); (6) uncropped image of the RAPD agarose gel shown in Fig. 1a (Supplementary Fig. S2); (7) a Python script that recomputes loci counts and Jaccard coefficients from the matrix and compares them with the published values. RAPD data are dominant, anonymous band-presence/absence scores, not sequence variants. No sequence data were generated. Raw GC-MS instrument files are not included; compositions are the values reported in Table 3.
