Microbial community assemblages associated with N2O production in seasonally anoxic Saanich Inlet

This study leveraged fine-resolution molecular marker profiling of prokaryotic communities, network analyses, and multivariate statistical modelling to identify community interaction networks and keystone taxa with putative roles in N2O cycling in a coastal anoxic basin. The results presented provide a framework for further investigations of the ecological interactions and key microbial players that may drive N2O production and accumulation across water column redox gradients.
