The 0.05° resolution atmospheric pressure product dataset for China, covering 2011–2021, provides monthly-scale atmospheric pressure data derived from hourly-resolution ERA Land product datasets spanning the same period. ERA5 is the fifth-generation global atmospheric reanalysis dataset for climate, developed by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) from January 1950 to the present. ERA5 is produced by ECMWF in partnership with the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). ERA5 offers hourly estimates of a comprehensive range of atmospheric, terrestrial and marine climate variables. The dataset covers the globe on a 30-kilometer grid, resolves the atmospheric vertical structure using 137 levels ranging from the surface up to 80 km altitude, and includes uncertainty information for all variables when spatial and temporal resolutions are degraded. ERA5 combines model data with observational data from across the world to build a globally complete and consistent dataset, superseding its predecessor, the ERA-Interim reanalysis. The ERA5 DAILY product provides aggregated daily values of seven ERA5 reanalysis parameters: 2-meter air temperature, 2-meter dew point temperature, total precipitation, mean sea level pressure, surface pressure, 10-meter u-wind component, and 10-meter v-wind component. Additionally, daily minimum and maximum 2-meter air temperatures are calculated from hourly 2-meter air temperature data. Daily total precipitation values are presented as daily sums, while all other parameters are provided as daily averages. The pressure data in this dataset is based on ERA5 Land product data. Subsequently, the spatial statistical interpolation method (Spline) is used to further downscale the 0.1-degree spatial resolution data to 0.05-degree spatial resolution. Finally, hourly-resolution data are accumulated to generate monthly-scale datasets.
