Diabetic kidney disease is the most common chronic kidney disease. Schisandrin B is known as a main compound extracted from schisandra chinensis. In this study, schisandrin B was revealed to alleviate renal tubular cells epithelial mesenchymal transition and mitochondrial dysfunction in diabetic mice. Mechanically, RNA sequencing results showed that KCP mRNA was evidently increased in high glucose cultured HK2 cells treated by schisandrin B.
