Moss Biocrust Mycobiome Survey Across an Aridity Gradient, Aug 01 '24 Raw sequence reads

This project surveys the moss biocrust mycobiome across an aridity gradient to characterize associations between moss biocrustsand fungi. Biocrusts, which are critical to dryland ecosystems, consist of communities of cyanobacteria, microfungi, algae, lichens, and bryophytes. This study reveals novel host associations between moss and fungi. This research provides insights into bryophyte-fungal associations and the effect of aridity on biocrust communities.
