(RI). - Original caption: "Our sawyers. - Since there are no roads the tree trunks cannot be brought to the saw. Instead the saw must be brought to the trees. The Odum-tree (a kind of oak) is felled and sawed into 12 foot long blocks which are carried to the pit with much difficulty and a lot of commotion. Then one of the men stands on the trunk while the other stands in the pit. This way the trunk can be cut into planks and beams with a long saw." - The French version of the album starts its commentary with the text "Pour nos constructions nous devons, vu les termites, employer le bois le plus dur. C'est l'arbre d'Odoum ou chêne africain, dont nous nous servons ... " (PJ 07.1998).
