Total number of publicly available sequences for organisms that are of the same species, genus, and order of target organisms and the average number of mismatches in the forward primer, reverse primer, and probe.

All of the publicly available sequences in the NBCI nucleotide database that had 5 or fewer mismatches to the forward primer, reverse primer, and/or probe were compiled for the species, genus, and order for each target organism. For humpback whale, the infraorder (Cetacea) was used rather than the order (Artiodactyla) due to the excessively large number of sequences. (XLSX)
