Novel protein SRFR1 mediates communication between defense and growth hormone with the help of NLR proteins

We are trying to uncouple plant defenses from plant hormonal pathway modulations utilising a novel regulator of the plant defense. Plants in modern world are being modulated by genetic engineers but most of the case they face its adverse consequences, loss of productivity and other stress susceptibilities. For example several autoimmune plant mutants shows higher resistance to the variety of pathogen but end up with severe developmental defects. Our study gives overview for cross links between defense and development during autoimmunity so that a strategy can be wisely designed to develop a resistant and healthy crops.
