These datasets are the supporting datasets related to the research work 'Acoustic characterization of potential quiet areas in Dortmund, Germany'. Data was collected in 2022 and 2023 and the field work was supported by a grant from The City of Dortmund, Germany. An array of ecoacosutic indices were calculated with the TU Dortmund LiDO3 supercomputer based on an R Script from Lawrence et al., 2021. Spatial data related to Noise modelling (LDEN) included in this dataset was provided by the The City of Dortmund (Frücht, 2022). Data related to vegetation community is based on publically available data from LANUV protected biotopes dataset with a spatial extent of NRW, Germany.
