Porcupine Abyssal Plain Sustained Observatory (PAP-SO) bottle dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and total alkalinity (TA) data from CTD casts taken during research cruise JC278, May/June 2025

Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) and Total Alkalinity (TA) data taken from CTD casts around the Porcupine Abyssal Plain Sustained Observatory site (PAP-SO located at 49N, 16.5W) and surrounding area during research cruise RRS James Cook JC278 in May-June 2025. Samples were analysed post-cruise by scientists at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton using the VINDTA and Dickson alkalinity titration methods. The analysis was part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)-funded AtlantiS project. These data will be used to calibrate underway pCO2 data, sensors on the PAP1 mooring, and glider sensors.
