The Surface Layer Parameterization in the NMM Models

Since sufficient vertical resolution has been reached over the operationally used integration domains, the well established and almost universally accepted similarity theory (Monin and Obukhov, 1954) has been adopted replacing the early approach used in the Eta model (Janjic, 1990). The first attempt to apply the similarity theory with the step-mountains was made by Lobocki (1993).
