Click on each county to view the designation's approval date as well as the deadline (eight months from the approval date) to apply for emergency farm loans. Primary Disaster Designation: Assigned to counties that have been impacted by natural disasters. Appear as red-highlighted counties in the map. Contiguous Disaster Designation: Assigned to counties adjacent to a county designated as a primary disaster area. Appear as orange-highlighted counties in the map.
