This repository contains the dataset and R code used in the study 'Agriculture and logging outweigh infrastructure impacts on Tapanuli orangutan habitat: a geo-ethnographic assessment'. Our study uses the synthetic control method to compare forest loss trajectories of Batang Toru Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) with counterfactuals modelled using similar KBAs in Sumatra, Indonesia.
