资源简介:
The mimic poison frog (Ranitomeya imitator; formerly Dendrobates imitator) is a species of poison frog found in the north-central region of eastern Peru. It is one of the best known poison frogs for its color variation and monogamous mating system (from Wikipedia entry). This sample is from a male bred in captivity in the USA, collected and coordinated by Lauren O'Connell, Dave Ramirez, and Billie Goolsby at Standard University, and used to generate a high-quality reference genome for a project on hypothalamus evolution in collaboration with Liqun Leo and Yunming Wu. The group is also contributing this genome to the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted by Dovetail Genomics in Santa Cruz, California, and further improved and curated at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University and the Sanger Institute genome reference informatics team.
