资源简介:

This dataset contains all supplementary tables, processed data, model inputs/outputs, and reconstruction results supporting the findings of the research article "Societal values steer long-term sediment regime transitions in the Yellow River Basin". The data span a 2,000-year period (0–2020 CE) for the Yellow River Basin (YRB) and enable full reproducibility of the millennial-scale reconstruction, statistical analysis, coupled agent-based–SWAT hydrological modeling, and water security assessment reported in the main text. This repository includes:Supplementary Tables (all tables referenced in the main text and extended analyses)Millennial-scale reconstructed datasets: Societal Value Orientations in Land Use (SVOLU), temperature, precipitation, cropland area, fractional vegetation cover (FVC), sediment discharge, and flood breach frequencyContemporary modeling data (1981–2019): Subregion-level water security indicators (GXB, SDI, ER, WSI, HSI) and scenario simulation results (static vs. dynamic SVOLU)Model calibration, statistical diagnostics, and index weighting parameters used in the studyAll data are provided in machine-readable formats (CSV/XLSX) with consistent spatial–temporal labeling. The dataset supports the core conclusions that:SVOLU acts as a fundamental slow variable governing long-term sediment regime transitions;Climate sets boundary conditions, while societal values determine socio-hydrological trajectories;Asymmetric feedback leads to rapid degradation and delayed, threshold-dependent recovery. These data can be reused for comparative socio-hydrological analysis, long-term human–water system modeling, river basin sustainability assessment, and cross-basin validation of the SVOLU–Behavior–Hydrology (SBH) framework.
