THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM IN KATTAKURGAN DISTRICT AND ITS TRANSFORMATION IN THE SYSTEM OF COLONIAL ADMINISTRATION OF THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE (1868–1917)

The article comprehensively analyzes the formation and evolution of the judicial system in Kattakurgan district within the framework of the colonial policy of the Russian Empire in Turkestan. In particular, the legal status, scope of authority, administrative control mechanisms of the people's court (judge) institution from the establishment of the Zarafshan district in 1868 to 1917, as well as its interaction with the judicial bodies of the empire, are studied.
