Intra-host evolution of Norovirus in immunocompromised individuals

Norovirus will typically cause self-limiting acute enteric infections, however, the virus can cause chronic infections in immunocompromised individuals. During the course of these chronic infections, the virus will tend to accumulate mutations in the genome. The goal of this project is to determine what are the intra-host evolutionary patterns of Norovirus during chronic infections and how antiviral treatments affect the quasispecies.
