Sand samples were collected from Biloxi East Beach, Biloxi, MS, USA on August 7, 2024 to determine the 16S rRNA bacterial communities associated with sand samples along a fine scale spatial gradient. Sand samples were collected to assess variation in bacterial communities based on position along the beach (10 m transects) and depth (0.1-0.4 m).
