This was a retrospective study using the collection of paraffin-embedded colorectal polyps removed by endoscopic polypectomy in the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer and Institute of Oncology, Warsaw, Poland between 2010 and 2016. Basing on pathology reports, 58 adenomas equal to or larger than 2 cm were re-evaluated by referral pathologists (second opinion). DNA was subjected to Ion AmpliSeq Comprehensive Cancer Panel library preparation, which allows analysis of the coding regions of 409 oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, and sequenced using the Ion Proton system (Thermo).
