Building upon the original Human Genome Project, we are funded by NGHRI to improve the reference genome sequence by sequencing additional genomes that reflect the diversity of genomes in various ancestral groups including the Peruvian Ancestry group. Through this work, the reference genome resource will be more useful for discovering disease-associated sequences in all population groups.
