资源简介:
Increases in destruction caused by urban wildfires have been driven by a combination of climate change, development in fire-prone areas, fire suppression policies, and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Public understanding of the causes is critical in shaping support for different mitigation and adaptation policies. This study examines public perceptions of urban wildfire risk, causal attribution, and policy preferences using two surveys conducted in summer 2025: a nationally representative U.S. sample (N = 538) and a California-focused sample (N = 301).
