Akkermansia muciniphila strain:AKK-HX003 Genome sequencing

The most studied Akkermanisa strain, Akkermanisa muciniphila, had its first genome sequencing in 2011, which opened the curtain of genome analysis of this genus. However, due to the stringent isolation and culture conditions (anaerobic), obtaining Akkermanisa isolates is challenging, which has hindered the development of genomic analysis of this genus. In this study, we isolated and cultured 4 Akkermanisa isolates, and through whole genome sequencing, we expect to enrich the gene pool of Akkermanisa strains and provide a basis for the mining and application of functional genes.
