资源简介:
These core body temperature data are associated with the paper “Evaluation of pigs’ susceptibility to summer heat waves based on continuous measurement of body temperature.” These data originate from both published and unpublished studies conducted at INRAE. Core body temperature was continuously recorded using a temperature sensor (Anipill®, BodyCap, France) surgically implanted in the brachiocephalic muscle. Data were collected from trials investigating the effect of an experimentally simulated summer heat wave. Core body temperature was monitored in growing–finishing pigs equipped with a temperature sensor, allowing real-time measurements. Data were collected both during a thermoneutral period (22 °C) and during a 4–5 day heat challenge at an average temperature of 32 °C. Pigs were housed either individually or in small groups, fed ad libitum, and had free access to water.
