资源简介:
We identified the transient object SRGt 062340.2-265715 as a bright (G virgul 12.5)nova-like cataclysmic variable (CV). A highly significant TESS period of 3.941hours (the orbital?) had disappeared when the object was reobserved with TESSlater. Located in very sparsely populated regions of X-ray/opticalcolor-magnitude diagrams the new object could be an X-ray underluminousintermediate polar an overluminous non-magnetic CV or a new type of CV. Wepropose XMM-Newton follow-up to search for spin- and orbital phase-dependentvariability and to perform time-resolved spectroscopy. We want to understandthe site of X-ray production and its modulation in the system (Lx = 4.8e32 erg/sat 495 pc) which was impossible to achieve with existing data and models. [truncated!
