TIDS: A Thermal Imaging Dataset for Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Sheep

The Thermal Imaging Dataset for Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Sheep (TIDS) contains 418 annotated thermal images collected from dairy sheep in 16 farms across central Greece. Each image corresponds to an individual sheep, with 207 labeled as subclinical mastitis (SCM) cases and 211 as healthy. The dataset includes both full and manually cropped thermal images of the udder region, captured using a FLIR E96 thermal camera under standardized conditions. Health status labels were determined based on somatic cell count (SCC) measurements, following National Mastitis Council guidelines. This dataset enables research on early mastitis detection using thermal imaging and supports the development of classification models for subclinical mastitis in dairy sheep.
