This dataset contains the daily reference evapotranspiration (RET) data from January 2018 to December 2022 for Africa and the Near East regions, derived from two reanalysis datasets: the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis, ERA5 (25 km) and the Goddard Earth Observing System version 5, GEOS5 (30 km). The method used to calculate RET is Penman-Monteith FAO-56 equation.
The daily RET-ERA5 and RET-GEOS5 datasets are distributed in NetCDF format (file name convention: YYYY-MM-DD.nc), and compressed in RAR files.
