DescriptionThis dataset contains Table 1: Findings for Teachers’ Experiences in Teaching Aviation English from the study “Taking Flight with Aviation English: How are Malaysian Teachers Preparing the Next Generation?”. The table summarises the thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews with three English teachers in Malaysian aviation schools.The findings are presented across three main themes:Teachers’ understanding of Aviation English – including long learning processes, lack of aviation background, gaining experience through teaching, sources of aviation knowledge, and the requirements for teaching.Integration of aviation content – including activities and material preparation, integration with technical parts, and use of real-life content.Instructional challenges – including the nature of learning Aviation English (jargon, pronunciation, comprehension), students’ abilities and attitudes (demotivation, limited knowledge, varied backgrounds), inadequate resources, and institutional support issues (workload, syllabus adherence, lack of training).This table provides a structured overview of the themes, subthemes, and sub-subthemes generated during the analysis and supports the results reported in the manuscript.
