Additional File 7: Histograms that show promoter methylation in miRNA target genes and miRNA non-target genes

Histograms that show promoter methylation in miRNA target genes and miRNA non-target genes for each of 270 cell lines. Black (red) corresponds to promoter methylation in miRNA target (non-target) genes. For all histograms, in the lowest bins, methylation in promoters of miRNA target genes is larger than that in non-target genes, while methylation in promoters of miRNA target genes is less than that in non-target genes in other bins. This means that miRNA target gene promoters are hypomethlated compared to miRNA non-target gene promoters.
